What are Louvre doors?

DELIVERY

When will delivery be if I order now?

We offer a Two Day delivery service.  Orders are dispatched direct from the distributor's UK warehouse.  Orders placed before 12.00pm will be dispatched the following working day for delivery the next working day after that.  For example, an order placed on Monday at 11.00am will be dispatched on the Tuesday for delivery on the Wednesday.  The following table serves as a guide:

 We can currently only deliver to UK mainland addresses.

Some Scottish Highlands may take longer for delivery - we estimate 3-5 days.  Please be aware of this when placing your order.

How can I tell you which day I want delivery if I order online?

For Richard Burbidge branded products we call the customer to arrange a convenient delivery day.

If you wish to arrange for an alternative delivery date (a day LATER than the above schedule) you will need to write the requested date in the "order Instructions/Comments" box towards the end of the ordering process.

 

Can you give me an estimated time for when my doors will arrive?

Delivery will normally be between 09.00 and 17.30.

We cannot 100% guarantee the above due to outside influences.

 

Do I have to sign for my delivery?

Goods should be signed for on delivery.  If there will be no one in to sign for the goods, a note can be left on your door for the driver detailing somewhere safe where the goods can be left.  Please note that in these instances the delivery driver will take your note as proof of delivery and should the goods subsequently go missing, this will be AT YOUR OWN RISK.

 

How much is delivery?

Standard delivery cost is £18.40 inc VAT.

 

How can I cancel my order?

Orders can only be cancelled or amended before 11.30am on your dispatch day.

How much can I take off the top/bottom/sides of the louvre doors?

2mm off the top/bottom

Do you make made to measure doors?

No - Just the sizes on our website.

 

Are they open louvre doors?

All the louvre doors on the website are open louvre.

 

Are the white louvre doors painted or primed?

The doors are primed.

 

FURNITURE BOARDS

 

What is the difference between Craftsman and Square Edge boards?

Craftsman are finished, wrapped and labelled.

Square Edge boards are unfinished, unwrapped and unlabelled.

 

Are they solid pine all the way through or are they laminated?

The boards are laminated out of pine.  The pine is glued together to make the laminated board in various widths and lengths.  It is not just one piece of pine.

 

CONCERNS WITH YOUR DELIVERY

 

Damages

When accepting delivery please ensure that all goods are recieved in an acceptable condition before signing the delivery note.  Any damaged goods must be signed for as such by writing on the delivery note and reported to us within 48 hours, via our email address.

Please ensure you inspect your goods thoroughly prior to installation and ensure that the goods are correct as per your order and that you are happy with the appearance and quality.  Once installation has commenced we cannot accept claims for incorrect/damaged goods.  Any damaged goods must be signed for as damaged on the delivery note and you should notify us immediately.

 

Non deliveries

Although the delivery companies we use are excellent, neither we nor they can guarantee or be held liable for a delivery not arriving on the designated time or day as on rare occasions there can be unforeseen circumstances affecting delivery.  In such events we will re-schedule delivery for the next convenient day.

If delivery is attempted, but no one is able to accept the delivery then, if we need to reschedule a delivery, a further delivery charge will be made.

 

Ordered the wrong size and want a collection

If you wish to return a product to us for any reason, you must contact us in writing (preferably by email) and request a returns authorisation number, which must be quoted on any subsequent correspondance and paperwork.  Any request to retun saleable goods must be made in writing within 28 days of delivery.

 

When will I be refunded?

If you wish to return a product to us because you have cancelled the Contract between us within the seven-day cooling-off period as allowed by the Distance Selling Regulations we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day you have given written notice of your cancellation.  In this case, we will refund the price of the product in full, including the cost of sending the item to you.  However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.  Any product returned to us must be returned to us complete, unused and in the condition it was delivered to you.

If you wish to return part of an order because you no longer want or need an item or items, then again you will need to contact us in writing for a returns authorisation number.  On receipt of the goods we will then issue a refund for the returned goods, less costs incurred in the collection and return of the goods.  This will be £18.40 inc VAT.  Any request to return saleable goods must be recieved in writing within 28 days of delivery.

If you wish to return a product to us for any other reason (for instance, because you claim the Product is defective), we will examine the returned product and will notify you of your refund via email within a reasonable period of time.  We will usually process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day we confirmed to you via email that you were entitled to a refund for the defective Product.  Products returned by you because of a defect will be refunded in full, including a refund of the delivery charges for sending the item to you and the cost incurred by you in returning the item to us.

We will usually refund any money recieved from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
